Little Gardener

Ella did an awesome job helping mommy plant some flowers.

Doors Open

We went to doors open in Toronto yesterday. We had fun visiting a museum and rare book archive, but Ella like the fire station the best.

On the way downtown Ella was pretty apprehensive on the subway, but on the way back she rocked it.

My Weekend with Daddy

Mom was away last weekend so Dad and Ella had a super fun weekend together.

Mother's Day

We're a bit behind with posts - life has been busy! Here are a few pics from our Mother's Day weekend.

Ethiopia?

We're trying to expose Ella to different types of situations and foods. We went to an Ethiopian restaurant for Uncle Graham's birthday and she loved it (surprisingly because it was a bit spicy and she has been scared off spice after an incident with a jalapeƱo).

Almost Potty Trained

Ella is doing a great job being a 'big girl' in the bathroom. She's about 90% potty trained at this point (and loves the fact that she can use her potty). She also knows her ABCs and her colours, and is getting better at counting but there's still some work to do there (she tends to just yell out a bunch of random numbers but seems to have 1 to 4 down now).

She still loves singing - the other day she started signing "Wavin' Flag"...so cute. We need to get that on video. Her other new thing is shadows - she is so fascinated by them right now and likes to chase them. Bugs are birds are big favourites now too - she can just sit and watch ants and be completely entertained.

Puddles

We just got home from daycare and the conversation went like this:

Dad: Ella, please don't jump in the puddles, you don't have your boots on.
Ella: OK, daddy.
Dad: Ella, can you help me carry these hangers in to the house?
Ella: OK, daddy.
